Matthew Berman used Claude Opus 5.5 to recreate San Francisco inside Unreal Engine — and then wired every moving thing in it to an AI agent called Jev. The bird's-eye view shows a dense downtown grid: multi-story office blocks, tram lines, crosswalks, parked and moving cars, and dozens of pedestrians all navigating the streets in real time. Every NPC, pet, and vehicle is AI-driven. The result looks like a living city sim where the entire population has a brain.

  • Full Unreal Engine city block with AI-powered pedestrians, pets, cars, and traffic all running simultaneously
  • Every entity in the scene is driven by Jev, an AI agent layer, making it a true multi-agent urban simulation
  • Bird's-eye render shows tram lines, crosswalks, storefronts, and trees — far beyond a basic scene stub

“I had Opus 5.5 recreate the city of San Francisco in Unreal Engine. I powered everything in it (people, pets, cars, traffic, literally everything) with Jev.”
