The Ashen Gate — Dark Souls Browser Game
A Dark Souls-inspired browser game built entirely with Claude Opus 5.5, complete with a brooding title screen showing a walled fortress city shrouded in darkness and a glowing lantern crest. Creator @The_Alex had early access to Opus 5.5 and used it to build multiple projects — this one nails the FromSoftware aesthetic down to the gothic serif typography and oppressive amber glow. The level of visual polish and thematic cohesion you'd normally expect from a small studio, generated with an AI model.
- Title screen rivals commercial indie games: dark castle panorama, glowing lantern logo, and gothic serif lettering
- Built by @The_Alex during early access to Claude Opus 5.5 as one of several showcased projects
- Full video walkthrough posted alongside the reveal, showing the game in motion
